Full episodes can be seen here

The 1619 Project has been a book, podcast and now a show on Hulu. We were approached to create a host of graphic treatments that could be used in show to tell the story of the 1619 Project.

IN SHOW GRAPHICS

In developing the in show graphics, the approach was focused on highlighting unique data points. The raw data was then reskinned in appealing and inventive ways, using the WEB Dubois Visualizations of Black America as a Jumping off point.

GRAPHIC NARRATIVES

Archival documents were treated and designed to reflect the narrative that was being portrayed in that episode.
